"I finally launched my newsletter - and feel confident using Kit!"
“I’d signed up for Kit months before, but got overwhelmed quickly and kept putting off my January launch.
What I loved most about Kit for Beginners was watching Bev share her screen and walk through everything step by step. Even though I’m normally a reader who prefers written instructions, seeing Kit demonstrated live made everything click in a way the help docs never did. I’ve already launched my newsletter!
My confidence in using Kit has completely transformed. Yes, I’m still a baby newsletter with just one subscriber (plus me on the test email), but I actually did it – and I feel good about using the platform now.”

"Kit for Beginners came at just the right time for me
“I was at the point where the next thing to do was set up my email list, and Kit for Beginners came at just the right time for me. I needed someone to take me by the hand and walk me through it, and that’s exactly what Bev did! Yes, it’s a lot of material to absorb, but I’ve already set up my Welcome Sequence, Landing Page, and Newsletter template. I feel less overwhelmed than when I started – it’s begun to make sense to me. Thanks so much for putting this course together, Bev.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Perfect! This program is designed to help beginners start with confidence and ease.
It depends. This is not an Email Marketing 101 course.
This course assumes you have a basic understanding of the concepts around email marketing: lead magnets / opt-ins / freebies, nurture emails.
You really need a solid foundation of email marketing basics in order to understand where the mechanics of setting up Kit fit in.
If you have 1 or 2 specific technical questions, I recommend that you book a Power Hour.
Yep! There are two lessons in the main course that only apply if you’re on the Creator Plan (that’s the mid-tier plan – you don’t need the highest paid one). The vast majority of the course applies whether you have a free plan or a paid plan.
You will need a paid plan, however, to make the most of the bonus lessons (specifically, the lessons about polls, link triggers, and aspects of the Creator Network).
It’s possible that I will run a live version of this program, which will include access to a Slack group for 6 weeks. The best way to stay informed is to fill out the interest form above.
Unfortunately I cannot offer refunds. If extenuating circumstances arise, please message me and we can find a way to roll this money into another service.
Each video includes closed captions and a transcript that combines both audio and visual instructions, written instructions, and some screenshots with alt text and/or captions.
This program welcomes participants of all needs and abilities. If you have additional accessibility needs that you don’t see listed, feel free to reach out so we can accommodate them.
It’s hard to say specifically how much time this course will take you, since everyone works at a different pace and has varying amounts of time to put to this.
Lessons are short (anywhere from 5-15 minutes) and focused to help you make progress without feeling overwhelmed. Some lessons will be just watching a video, other lessons include recommended actions so that you can put what you learned into action.
Full disclosure: I haven’t gone through Kit’s own free “Kit Start” course, but here’s the key difference. Kit’s course is designed for someone new to email marketing who wants to build a newsletter as their product. My course takes a different approach – it’s built for service providers, coaches, and business owners who use email marketing to sell their services, not their newsletter.
This course is more organized, codified, and in-depth than Kit’s resources. I go into the technical details of the software that many Kit users miss, with step-by-step guidance on setup and strategy. Rather than piecing together information from various Kit videos and help docs, everything you need is structured in one place, making it easier to follow and implement.
